Thank you for sending along a copy of your appeal to the US supreme court in the case of Osterbur v. United states of america. While I appreciate your thinking of me, the separation of powers between the legislative and judicial branches makes it inappropriate for me to intervene in an ongoing legal dispute pending in court.
I regret that I cannot be of greater assistance, and I urge you to obtain legal assistance for advice on how to proceed in this matter, Your bar association may have an attorney referral service listed in your local telephone directory, which may be of help particularly if you find it difficult to pay for legal counsel.
Thanks again for contacting me. I am enclosing the documents you sent me
my best wishes
Paul Simon, us senator
